Description of the painting

A cave painting, showing a multi-coloured Auroch, together with two Tarpan or wild horses. The artist has also left his or her handprint.

Auroch are the ancestors of domestic cattle. They were once common across Europe into Asia. They went extinct about 300-400 years ago, Poland being the last country to have them as part of their wildlife.

The Red, black and white on the Auroch is inspired by the Catalan abstract artist, Joan Miro.
